doweshowbellyad=0; Neha Srikant (TOI Photo)'I love Debussy's beautiful piano music' , says Netra Srikant, musician and actor. 1. Married life is.... No different! Raghava and I have spent so much time together in the past six years that we already know each others' worsts! (and bests). In fact, life has been one big party after marriage!
2. Music versus acting versus art.
Which is most important and why....
All three are equally important to me. Acting is a new discovery and something I've found very exciting. Music has been a lifelong passion, and is an important force of creative expression for me. And art gives me the opportunity to travel and to boss Raghava around!
3. Living with Raghava... (summed up in five words)..... Spontaneous, never a dull moment, dramatic , comfortable, wonderful.
4. The most fun moment in my life I have experienced till now... I'd have to say it was arriving at my wedding in the auto that Raghava painted. To see the huge crowd of my friends and family dancing in front of me, the fireworks, and the band blaring music. It was an amazing rush, like being in a dream world!
5. My idea of a dream holiday... It would be somewhere where I'm not reminded of work at all. I tend to be obsessive about work, and it drives Raghava nuts! So I guess it would be a place where I have no cell phone coverage and where I'm forced to just chill out.
6. Luxury and style to me is embodied by.... Being completely comfortable. Luxury is all about comfort, and style is about being comfortable in your own skin, no matter what that is.
7. I think the greatest artist in the world living or dead, is.... In music, it's definitely Debussy, who wrote the most beautiful piano music. In film, it's definitely Chinese director Zhang Yimou - his films are unbelievable!
8. The nicest compliment I've ever received... "You have the kind of beauty that only gets better and better with age, because it comes from inside and out." My best friend and former actress Gautami said this to me once.
9. Three things I can't last a day without... My cellphone (yes!) , my beautiful golden retreiver Rukumani, and my current book of choice.
10. The musician I love who I can listen to any time, and why.... The Beatles or Peter, Paul, and Mary.
I love oldies, I think, because my
parents used to put me to bed by
playing their records when I
was a baby.
